Schneider Nestbox Trail was established in 1996 in cooperation with the Eldorado National Forest. Fifty nestboxes were initially erected but non-productive boxes were removed and new locations established over the years. The following table shows the number of boxes, the number of attempts to nest (meaning nest built and at least one egg laid), the number of eggs, the number of chick hatched, and the number of chicks fledging the nestbox by species -- Mountain Chickadee (MOCH) and Mountain Bluebird (MOBL).
